Have got into trance recently, my bro is really into House and Trance music but would like to hear from your recommendations. I’m aware there is many subgenre’s but I’ll experiment and listen to any and see what I like best
Old or new artists/bands, any are welcome. Thank you for your time if you decide to voice your opinion
Answer by Jaul Haristar Check out a sweet band called RapidFflow on iTunes. They are spectacular and I suggest getting their self titled album. Here are some links to some of their songs.
I have been writing some cool lyrics lately, all for rock music and they were made into songs.
But a sudden inspiration came to me a little while ago and I wrote lyrics that would make such a cool trance song. I have it in my head, the melody, rhythm and all and want to make the song myself. What is the best software I can get to make my own music on the laptop?
Thanks in advance.
Answer by audioloops Give FL Studio a try: http://demo.flstudio.com
It has lots of features and is easy to work with, especially for dance music, but also when recording audio etc.
You can find some tutorials on YouTube so you can see how people use it.
I recommend the Producer Edition because it has more advanced options like the piano roll and it comes with an excellent audio editor Edison.
If you’d like to buy it you can get 10% discount on the download version with this promo link: http://support.flstudio.com/jshop/shop.php?offer=Default&promo=BACJBAA468
Another one you could try is Reaper, http://reaper.fm
I don’t use it myself but you can try the uncrippled shareware version to see how you like it.
Btw, if you’re serious about making music on your laptop, you probably will want to look into getting a good soundcard (ASIO) as well as built-in soundcards usually don’t have what it takes.
I’m just starting to get into house/trance music, and I was wondering if you can tell me who I should listen to or what compilation albums are worth getting. I like progressive trance like Deadmau5 and Psychedelic trance like Infected Mushroom.
I am an electronic music lover. I like stuff from dance, house, trance to industrial and anything similar to it. I love it. Kind of new to the scene though. Can someone recommend good DJ’s, records, artists on this genre? Stuff I like so far are something like: Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Benny Benassi, Global Deejays, Armand Van Helden, Gigi D Agostino, Felix Da Housecat, Miss Kittin, Ladytron, Goldfrapp, Daftpunk, Robbie Rivera. I want more more more. I am so addicted! Whats new out there?

I’ve recently been getting into Trance so I’ve been listening to a lot of A State of Trance. I like a lot of the music that Armin Van Buuren plays and I’d like to buy some cds but I don’t know where to start my collection. Can someone please recommend some good artists? I like a lot of the vocal trance especially if it’s a girl singing.
Awesome, thanks for the suggestions. Keep ‘em coming. I’ll print off a list the next time I go shopping and pick up a bunch of cds.
cool, thanks for all the suggestions moothecat. I love Sara McLaclan…she has a beautiful voice. I’ve heard of DJ Tiesto but I think this is the first time I’ve heard any of his mixes.
For some reason almost all of the trance artists I enjoy barely exist outside of YouTube or MySpace. Some of the more popular/ well known artists like DJ Tiesto I’m just not that into.
So my question is, what trance music do you enjoy? Specifically if you have somebody obscure that you like give me a link or the name of one of your favourite songs.
Some examples of trance artists I enjoy-
Mikkas
EON
Kr1z
F-777
For those of you with some extra initiative, one of my personal favourites is Dream of Air by F-777. If you, specifically, know anybody similar to this that would be great.
Can you recommend an inexpensive solution for digitally recording phone conversations from my computer?
I have a lot of phone conversations from my desk where I can’t write as fast as people are speaking. Programs like Go to Meeting seem to be able to record phone conversations but you’re paying for lots of other features. Does anyone know of a good solution for my needs?
I’m looking for a microphone that can give me professional sound for vocal recordings that can be connected to a computer via the “record” slot/hole. I really could use some recommendations because there’s so much to choose from and I don’t really know what’s any good or if its a good price. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, within the last 3 months I have been addicted to Trance music since I heard Tiesto’s Adagio for Strings.
However I’m quite picky and there are only like 7 tracks I can listen to over an over as the rest do get quite boring after a few times.
These tracks include:
Tiesto – Adagio for Strings
William Orbit – Adagio for Strings (Ferry Corsten)
Cafe del Mar (Three n One)
Binary Finary – 1998 (Matt Darey)
Rank 1 – Airwave (Tiesto)
Safri Duo – Played a Live
System F – Out of the Blue
As I’m not overly informed on Trance I was wondering if anyone could spot a pattern within the tracks listed as it might be a particular subgenre of Trance I’m in to.
Also could anyone recommend anything I might like given what tracks I have listed.
Thank You
