How is modern radio station equipment like? Are the cd players and cartridge players gone?

I am curious as I used to work at a radio station back in the 90’s where the old equipment was used. Basically the mixer with the cd players, cartridge players, telephone line, microphone line, satellite news all connected to it. So what is different about that setup now in radio stations? So yeah wondering what role the computer plays for the dj??

Going to be doing a radio show online, need to find a good online mixer/soundboard?

Hopefully going to start doing a audio radio show online very soon, and instead of buying a bulky mixer and having cables running all over my desk and into my computer, I was wondering if there were online mixers or soundboards that I could use to produce my show. Which synthesizer under $500 can recreate the arpeggios from Radio Ga Ga?

In the Queen song ‘Radio Ga Ga’, there are arpeggios performed on the Roland Jupiter 8. I would get a Jupiter 8, but I’m quite limited money-wise. I’d like an arpeggio sound of that from Radio Ga Ga at Live Aid. If you know an instrument that can do that arpeggio pattern, please answer! Thanks so much!
