Open Source or Free Software mixer for mixing real time audio streams to merge multiple streams into one?

I want to merge multiple audio streams into one in real time and also want the same for some FLV audio files that I already have.

Can anyone please provide me names of robust and customizable software mixers that can do this?

If you are Linux, there is 64Studio and UbuntuStudio. KdenLive will import/export FLV audio (it is a video editor). KdenLive uses a command-line library called ffmpeg which will convert just about any video / audio formats.

Do a google for ffmpeg for windows, and you will find several answers.

What is THE premier DJ software for producing and mixing trance and dance music?

I don’t have a DJ equipment, but I was certainly looking to access high quality software in its place. Any recommendations?

Well its good to get some equipment but if you dont have the money get Virtual DJ it is the best to start on.
Others like Traktor are too confusing and complicated to use.
VDJ is easy and requires skill to mix because its like having equipment but on a computer.
VDJ is the Best for starters because if you get equipment after having mixing experience on VDJ your skills will be better than
starting with out software.
