What is so gay about electronic trance music?

I really like to listen to electronic trance music, but I’m afraid that people are going to think I’m gay if they hear me listening to it. I’m not sure what it is, but I really enjoy the sound of it. It’s very relaxing, nice, and enjoyable to listen to. I hear some of my friends say, “trance is gay!” Why do some people think that trance is gay? What is so gay about it? I don’t understand why some people think it’s music for gay people.
