What equipment do i need to make dance music?

I have been a musician for several years now, and I am great at guitar and keyboard. Recently I’ve got into dance music, techno, and trance. I want to make dance music, but I’m not exactly sure what sort of equipment I need….synths, grooveboxes, drum machines????
or would i be better off going with a full computer software system?

i hear it on the kdwb radio staion (MN) like every once in a while. Something about dance music in hd then the song im looking for plays…and one part says something like “my arms…” im guessing?

well, i did know the name of it but i forgot. its been like a year. LOL.
