Could I hook up a mixer to an audio interface?

to this audio interface

and then hook it up to my computer.

when i start Yahoo messenger voice chat i am getting “The computer Audio mixer could not be initiated” message

When i try to do Voice chat in Yahoo messenger i get an error “The computer Audio mixer could not be initiated”. i am able to hear the voice of the person in the other end but the person in the other end is not able to hear my voice.
I have also tried downloading latest messenger from internet, but still we have the same problem.
Configuration details:
MBD – MS-7191
OS – Windows 2000 SP4
Yahoo messenger – 7.5.0.819
Audio driver Ver – 5.10.0.5172 Release date – 23/9/2005
i have also treid with XP but same problem persists.

Have you tried to run the audio set up device which you will find under the actions button in your messenger , its called ‘call set up’? Is your microphone muted?

How do I fix error: “The audio mixer could not be initialized”?

This error is generated when opening Yahoo chat rooms. A prior suggestion was to lower my firewall setting. The firewall isnt the problem. I have a HP pavilion dv5000 laptop. MY toshiba doesnt do this. Also a suggestion was to send feedback to intel. I did that. Any folks out there seen this error and know how to fix it?
This is a new laptop. Its not the drivers either as the laptop came with up-to-date drivers
There are no conflicts or intrusions between yahoo and the audio drivers. keep the suggested answers rolling in

Only been a trance fan for a few years now, & into Paul van Dyk & the other mainstream DJs.

You probably know Markus Schulz and George Acosta, right? I’ve only heard 1 good song from Sasha & Digweed so far, ‘ Water from a Vine Leaf,’ by William Orbit.

Even “Carry me” is nice, also found at the above location. Then there is DJ Tiesto “Dido” from a few years back.

Both are trance/dance/electronica with cool beats and great melody and rhythmic harmony with the keyboards…. I want to find more tracks like this… any ideas??

Who knows any decent software which i could use to mix and create my own music on?

Do i need a 3 channel dj mixer to hookup 2 turntables and a computer or could i do it with a 2 channel?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good trance music or Trance CD’s?

Hi, within the last 3 months I have been addicted to Trance music since I heard Tiesto’s Adagio for Strings.
However I’m quite picky and there are only like 7 tracks I can listen to over an over as the rest do get quite boring after a few times.
These tracks include:

Binary Finary – 1998 (Matt Darey)

As I’m not overly informed on Trance I was wondering if anyone could spot a pattern within the tracks listed as it might be a particular subgenre of Trance I’m in to.
Also could anyone recommend anything I might like given what tracks I have listed.

What music software and hardware could I get for my computer?

I’m am trying really hard to get my music out on a radio. I have written many songs but i haven’t been able to get i a recording studio to get any work done and I really want this. If i had the equipment I could probably make my dreams a reality. I like just about every genre of music except country and have been singing all my life (in talent shows, churches, at the capital, at restaurants, and at a governor’s birthday party.

a few things I really would need is a microphone and virtual instruments. i really think it would be cool to have a program that will allow me to put it all on a CD. What would i need to help my dream come to a reality and how or where can I obtain it
