Why isn’t dance/trance or electronic music more popular in the USA?

In some European countries it’s fairly “mainstream”, at least to some extent.

The Discussion
see what everyone is saying
i think it’s becoming way more popular.
Britney Spears kinda started it and then Christina Agularia copied and like lady gaga or whatever.
The US is catching on.
This is kinda autobiographical, but from my standpoint,
A lot of the Dance, Trance, and Techno that comes from the U.S. is not that good. Most good techno and electronica music comes from Europe.
So that’s about the only explanation I can come up with.
cuz its all about lil’ wayne, i kid i kid shoot i really dont know cuz i love it.
yea thats what I wonder too!
I love house music (maybe cuz im from europe)
Its really sad that there are almost no good electro clubs here in the US.
Personally I think it has something to do with more lax laws on drugs over there, since a lot of people only listen to it on E.
Also, it’s kind of got a bad rap in the US as being just the same thing over and over.
